Others conspiracists claim there was no way Oswald could have plotted and carried out the shooting alone and thus there must have been co-conspirators (Kelly). Those who dispute Oswald was the lone shooter do so because of missing evidence and conflicting witness reports, including the very doctors who tried to save Kennedy (Stern). In fact, some of the very doctors who worked on President Kennedy after his shooting have reportedly said the physical wounds of the president were not consistent with the lone shooter theory. Rolling Stone reports that these doctors’ “observations from Trauma Room 1 didn’t match the government story” (Stern). In essence, the doctors claim the entrance wounds would not line up with a sole shooter theory as one would have been front the president’s front and one from the back (Stern). Stern writes that the doctors “contend one of the bullets that hit JFK entered through his throat, meaning it was an entrance wound from the front … with Oswald firing from the rear.” This clearly contradicts the government’s public version of events. Yet after all these years, there are no other gunmen named or even suggested. Other proponents of the multiple shooter theory claim there was no way someone of Oswald’s relative lack of sophistication could have pulled off the assassination of a president (Kelly).
